The Department of Basic Sciences and Humanities of International School of Technology and Sciences for Women plays a crucial role in laying the strong foundation necessary for the success of engineering students, analogous to how a robust high-rise building requires a solid base. The primary focus of this department is to provide comprehensive training to first-year B. Tech students in the fundamental disciplines of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Communication skills with an applied approach.

To facilitate hands-on learning and practical understanding, the department is equipped with two well-maintained laboratories—one for Engineering Chemistry/Environmental Studies and another for Engineering Physics.
